The 39th Annual Postgraduate Symposium of the Heterocyclic and Synthesis Group will take place on Thursday, 3rd September, in the University of Oxford’s Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory building. The event will begin at 10:00 and end by 17:30. Lunch, along with coffee and tea, will be provided by the Heterocyclic and Synthesis Group. Attendance is free for all postgraduate students; however, registration is mandatory.
The symposium will feature two plenary lectures from leading industrial and academic chemists. Additionally, eight lectures will be presented by final-year postgraduate students, selected from submitted abstracts. There will also be a flash presentation session and a poster session during the lunch break, open to postgraduate students at any stage of their studies as well as other interested presenters. Prizes will be awarded for the best postgraduate lecture, flash presentation, and poster.
If you would like to give a talk or present a poster, please complete the attached form and send it to the Secretary, Zachariah Lockhart (zachariahlockhart@gmail.com), along with an abstract prepared using the provided template. We welcome abstracts covering a broad range of topics in organic synthesis and heterocyclic chemistry.
Online registration will open soon.
