6th Commonwealth Chemistry Posters

1 - 2 October 2025, United Kingdom

Introduction
A unique opportunity awaits you at this year’s 5th virtual Commonwealth Chemistry Posters event, the only online chemistry poster event that is delivered by and for Commonwealth countries. Join us for the chance to engage with top chemists, to find potential collaborations and to network with your peers. Plus, if you are an early career chemist, you have the opportunity to present a poster of your work to a wider audience – a potential springboard to new opportunities and collaborations.

Do you want to connect with other chemists working in similar areas and facing similar challenges? Would you like to grow your networks through discussing your work? Then register and opt-in to presenting a poster using the links on this page.

Why attend?

For early career chemists:
  • Present a poster of your work to scientists from across the Commonwealth and reach a wider audience. You could also win a ‘best poster’ prize
  • Discuss your work with those who may be addressing the same sustainable development goals, share methodologies and challenges
  • Grow your network and the potential for new collaborations at a critical time in your career
For established chemists:
  • Expand your networks and discover new talent in your field
  • Find out about research taking place around the Commonwealth, related to your area of interest
  • Seek out potential new collaborations
  • Help guide early career chemists by sharing your knowledge and experience

This event is free to attend and will take place in three sessions over 48 hours. All participants should attend at least two sessions in order to maximise their networking opportunities with chemists from across The Commonwealth.

Please note that Commonwealth Chemistry Posters is only open to those currently residing in a Commonwealth country, or those who are Commonwealth nationals.
Abstract Submission
If you would like to present a poster, you must submit an abstract and indicate which of the themes your work primarily contributes towards. You must do this before 00:00 (midnight) GMT on 11 August. Abstracts will be reviewed and you will be contacted shortly after the deadline if you are successful. You will be sent a link and asked to submit/build your poster on our poster platform. In order to display your poster at the event, this must be completed by 00:00 (midnight) GMT on 22 September. The poster gallery will open a week ahead of the event.

There will be posters on display addressing a wide variety of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

For more information on abstract submission, please see our abstract guidelines.

The Commonwealth Chemistry Posters event is entirely online. The posters will be available to view from 1 week before the event starts and throughout the event. You can submit questions to the presenters at any time via a contact button. You can also attend any of our three live sessions to talk to the presenters directly.

These three two-hour sessions will be timed over the event to provide networking opportunities between attendees from different countries across different time zones. All participants should attend at least two sessions to maximise their opportunities to meet chemists from across the Commonwealth.
